Mrs Anne Nicoll

Depute Head Teacher

Anne has been a Depute Head Teacher at Thurso High School since 2017. Before this Anne was Faculty Head of Technologies, having previously also spent some time as 'Acting' PTPS in the guidance department. Before moving to Thurso in 2007 Anne taught in Farr High School and Wick High School after teaching for a year in Edinburgh in 1999.

Mrs Hannah Flavell

Head Teacher

Hannah was appointed as Headteacher in 2018 having been a Depute Head Teacher in Thurso High School for four years. Previous to becoming a member of the Senior Management Team Hannah was Faculty Head of Maths.

Mrs Jacqueline Miller

Depute Head Teacher

Jacqueline was appointed the role of Depute Head Teacher in 2018, having been a Principal Teacher of Pupil Support since 2011. Before joining Thurso High School in 2009 as a member of the English department, Jacqueline previously taught in Wick High School.

Mrs Kathy McAlonan

Depute Head Teacher

Kathy was appointed as Depute Head Teacher in Thurso High School in May 2025 having previously been appointed as an acting Depute Head Teacher from 2020 to 2021 as well as from Oct 2024 - May 2025. Kathy has held a Faculty/Department Head position in Thurso High School’s English, Modern Languages and Drama Faculty since 2012. She came to Thurso High School as a probationer in 2009 and officially joined the staff as a permanent English teacher in 2010.
