Running Group raises money for charities

Four pupils of the Thurso High School running group decided to take advantage of the Mey 10K to raise money for the local Cancer Information and Support Group and the School Fund. People were asked to guess the total time that the 8 runners would take to complete the run. In total £397 was raised which included a generous donation from the Blue Door in Thurso. £200 was donated to the Cancer Group with the remaining £197 being given to the High School fund. Evelyn Simpson won the prize for being the closest to the total time of 8 hrs 9 minutes and 55 seconds. The pupils would like to thank all the people who kindly donated to their chosen charities.
