S2 Choices Email sent to parents

Dear Parent/carer

The deadline for completing the S2 choices survey recently sent to all S2 pupils has been extended to Thursday 18 Feb to allow us to hold an S2 Year group Assembly for all S2 pupils on Wed 17 Feb at 6.30pm.

The purpose of this assembly will be to go over the information already sent out on making choices for moving into S3 and to allow for questions to be asked by pupils and answered by Senior Management and Guidance staff. The format of the assembly will be a presentation followed by questions that will be asked in the ‘chat’ and answered as they come through.

Parents are invited to attend alongside their children and can also ask questions in the chat. Any question we cannot immediately answer will be channelled to the subject specialist for an emailed response.

Parents and pupils will be required to be muted and videos off for the assembly.

We very much hope that everyone can attend – pupils will be invited through their S2 Year group Classroom with details of the link etc for the Meet.

I know that many pupils have been emailing their teachers to ask questions about their choices and meanwhile please continue to do this, remembering that teachers won’t be available for the first part of next week.

We have not yet held a whole Year group assembly in this way so are hoping that it goes according to plan and that our wi-fi is kind to us all!
