Eco Committee working on Green Flag Award

Written by Thurso High School

The school Eco Committee is currently working on the Green Flag Award. As part of the award they have planted bulbs in front of the school, with the intention of planting wild flowers in the planters for pollinators in the summer. The Committee is extrememly grateful to Wolfburn Whisky distillery for donating barrels to be used as planters, GMR Henderson for donating soil, the Thurso High School PTA for bulbs and compost and to Alistair Crawford for making planters from repurposed wood. Hopefully there will be a nice splash of colour in the spring!
